Gale A. Watson Recognized for Excellence in Mathematics and Education
Gale A. Watson received a Ph.D. in mathematics education from The Ohio State University
SWAINSBORO, GA, July 07, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gale A. Watson, High School Mathematics Teacher at the Montgomery County Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in secondary education.
At the Montgomery County Schools, Ms. Watson instructs students in mathematics for six class periods a day. Additionally, she works as a Middle School Journal reviewer for the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Formerly, Ms. Watson spent 16 years teaching at West Liberty State College (Now a University). She also served as the newsletter editor for the West Virginia Council of Teachers of Mathematics. With 30 years of professional experience, she attributes her success to her passion for her profession.
In 1996, Ms. Watson received a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from The Ohio State University. She also earned a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Oregon. She is a member of the School Science and Mathematics Association and The Georgia Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Inc. In the future, Ms. Watson hopes to become adapted to new curriculum developments.
